KMF GOES GREEN
Climate change is one of the great challenges of the 21st century. In 2015, 195 countries of the world agreed on a climate treaty at the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris. The goal: to limit the global temperature increase this century to well below 1.5 °C compared to pre-industrial levels.
KMF believes that a comprehensive and consistent approach to the challenges of climate change includes managing the environmental and climate-related impacts of its own operations. This is why we have increasingly addressed this issue in recent years.
CO2OPGbR hereby confirmsthat we have offset the company's net greenhouse gas footprint in 2020 and 2021 by purchasing CO2e certificates. The company has already reduced its gross emissions by feeding PV electricity from its own plants into the grid. Through certification, we also support thefollowing climate protection project in South Korea - CDM CER 04294.
KMF is also constantly optimising internal processes, such as
less paper consumption and fewer business trips.

OUR MEASURES
- In contrast to the generation of direct emissions, we rely on electric mobility in our fleet.
- Since January 2022, we have also been purchasing certified green electricity that comes from renewable energy sources. Basically, this includes biomass, geothermal, hydropower, wind, ocean and solar energy.
- We have been electricity-positive since 2008 by installing photovoltaic systems on our company buildings.
- We also deliver our goods ex works EXW by climate-neutral shipping with UPS. KMF will of course pay the additional shipping costs incurred by customers for this.
