Slim-Split-Bearing products

On this page you will find all products of the SLIM-SPLIT- BEARING division of our company. The name SLIM-SPLIT-BEARING refers to a thin-section bearing with slotted or open bearing rings. This includes products of various designs. What all products have in common is that they are manufactured using state-of-the-art processes developed by us and the special design of the bearing rings. Production takes place at KMF Kunststoff-Metall-Formteile under the specifications of the highest precision and quality.

TYPE DESCRIPTION

Thin section bearings are single row rolling bearings which have the same square cross-section within a type series, irrespective of the bore diameter, and have extremely thin-walled bearing rings. The KMF thin-section bearing - SLIM-SPLIT-BEARING is a four-point ball bearing that can transmit loads such as axial and radial loads as well as tilting moments with a contact angle of 90° in all directions. The bearing rings are simultaneously profiled, hardened and diameter-formed without cutting using a special manufacturing process; the bearing rings are not closed but remain open. This is where the name "SPLIT-BEARING" comes from. The SPLIT-BEARING thus has some of the characteristics of built-in wire-race bearing elements, but is already an assembly-friendly complete unit. The open bearing rings allow the integration of a ball cage guided by rolling elements.
A raceway system with more and larger dimensioned balls could be realised. Compared to the cross-sectionally identical, "classic" thin-section bearings, significantly higher static and dynamic load capacities can be achieved.

MATERIAL

The KMF-SLIM-SPLIT-BEARING is corrosion resistant as standard. Bearing rings and rolling elements are made of corrosion and acid resistant steel X46Cr13 (material no. 1.4034). The ball cage band is made of plastic polyamide PA12.

Range of application

The limit temperatures of the bearing in standard design are between -40°C and +100°C in continuous operation and +120°C in short-time operation.
Various options are available for special applications in the increased temperature range, for example in clean rooms, vacuum or medical technology: ceramic balls or supplementary cage variants with different materials, e.g. PEEK, PTFE or PVDF.

SEALING

The KMF-SLIM-SPLIT-BEARING
is not sealed. If sealing is necessary, this is done with the connecting parts. In addition to commercially available
sealing systems, profile seals by the metre can also be used for this purpose. KMF offers a range of different profiles made of NBR.
